NOTICE TO MEMBERS
MONDAY 23RD MARCH 2020
No doubt you will be aware of the latest Government directive.
“Coronavirus crackdown to force mass closures of pubs, clubs, churches and indoor sporting venues”
Unfortunately this means that from midday today:
- The Clubhouse (including kitchen, bar and toilet facilities) will be locked and not accessible to members.
- All food and beverage services, functions and scheduled meetings are cancelled.
The tennis courts will remain available for those members who wish to use the courts only, on the understanding that they:
- organise their own matches
- Bring their own tennis balls
- Put up and take down their own nets
- Do not enter the Clubhouse
- Observe the Government’s public health advice about maintaining an appropriate social distance from others.
This notice applies also to the non-club events that occur at other times during the week with certain groups of members (i.e Tuesday mornings, Tuesday and Thursday afternoons and Sunday afternoons).
Whilst it is with a heavy heart that we have to take this action, the Committee is doing so to ensure the safety of all. We will continue to monitor and update members of this ongoing situation and will act in the best interest of the Club.
These are unprecedented times and we appreciate the support shown by Members.
