Thank you to all the volunteers who attacked the weeds last week and to those helping out on Friday this week spreading mulch on the car park garden beds.

This is the time of year when we spruce up our club in readiness for the summer season which sees members of the general public and pennant players from visiting clubs using our facilities and courts. Having our own state league team also means we will have increased numbers on the Friday night home rounds.

State League Coordinator Tony Faneco is also doing a wonderful job liaising with the players and related parties. Those visiting the club lately will have seen the four movable bleaches we are assembling and Bill O’Halloran has worked his magic attaching wheels so they are easily moved around the courts.  These will be a great addition for state league home rounds, club championships and pennant final.

The grass courts have held up reasonably well through the winter and Greg expects to have the second bay back in service after show parking. Please do choose a court showing less wear if you can, the grass will start to recover more quickly in the coming weeks as the temperature starts to climb.
